| 360 Knoxville Nationals!!! | | |
Ryan and his crew headed to Knoxville Raceway to compete in the 360 Nationals this past weekend. Ryan qualified Friday night with a field of 61 sprint cars. He was off to a good start as he qualified 10th, which gave him a thrid row inside starting position in the heat. He started fifth and finished fifth in the heat. They only took the top four to the A feature so this forced him to run the B. He started front row outside in the B. As they were coming around turn four, the guy who started on the pole, didnt go, and Ryan took off. So this caused Ryan to look like he "jumped" the start and the yellow came out, and soon after that the black flag came out. They sent Ryan to the back for "jumping" the start. So now Ryan started LAST in the B. The second start was the same as the first start, guy on the pole didnt go and the guy on the outside did, however this time it was kept green. However, when the guy on the front row doesnt go on the start it bunches up everyone up behind you so there was two red flags with a bunch of cars involved. These cars that crashed and rebuild there cars were still ahead of Ryan so still after these reds, Ryan still had to start LAST, and he was not involved in any crashes!! Ryan was coming up through the pack and with one lap to go Ryan ran out of fuel. They didnt have enough fuel in the car for all the restarts they had to have, all because one guy didnt go on the start. So Ryans night was over, pulling it to the pits in the B.
With a disappointing night on Friday, Ryan had to run the C Feature Saturday night of the 360 Knoxville Nationals. He started third row outside in the C, and finished fifth. They only took the top four so that was it for the 360 Knoxville Nationals.
