Roberts Motorsports... Back on Track!!! This weekend for Roberts Motorsports was a better one, and looks like they have things back on track after his bad luck streak. Friday night Ryan and his team heading off to Junction Motor Speedway in McCool, NE. They were very busy from the beginning of the night as they had to put the motor in at the track. Eckley got his motor done JUST IN TIME... and the motor got to the track just in time to race in Friday nights ASCS Midwest Competition. In the heat race Ryan started 5th and ended up finishing fifth as well. This gave him no passing points so it didnt give him a very good starting position for the A. Ryan started eighth row inside, fifteenth, in the A feature. He moved up a couple positions in the A, finishing 13th. Saturday night Ryan and his team headed over to Knoxville, for the Mid-Season Championship. In the heat race he started fourth and finished third. This gave him a front row outside position for the A feature. On the initial start in the feature Ryan took the lead and was gone, however there was some trouble on the start in turn two which brought out the red, so something Ryan didnt want to see, a complete restart. The second start was not as good as the first one, as the pole setter, Dustin Selvage, got a good jump and took the lead. Ryan followed right behind him the whole race. With about 5 laps to go, a caution came out. This lined them up single file, and on the start Ryan slipped back a position while trying to make the move on Salvage. So Ryan came home with a third place finish at the Knoxville Raceway. Ryan would like to give out a big THANK YOU to Jay Eckley and Eckley Racing Engines. There great guys to work with and they worked very hard to get the motor done so Ryan didnt have to miss any racing this past weekend. Next weekend Ryan will be back and ready for Knoxville, as the twin feature is a very important race to finish well in. Hope to see you all there. Have a fun and safe 4th of July!!
